Simon Aftalion brings more than a decade of multifamily development experience in Los Angeles to his role as Co-Founder and Principal of Passo, where he leads projects from acquisition through entitlement, design, construction, and disposition. His career spans large-scale ground-up and adaptive reuse housing, with a consistent focus on creating thoughtful, community-centered developments that respond to the city’s housing needs.

Before launching Passo, Simon served as Development Director at Markwood Enterprises, where he oversaw a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use projects across Los Angeles. He began his career with Boston Properties and EastBanc in Washington, D.C., gaining expertise in financial analysis and urban development before returning to Southern California to concentrate on housing.

Simon holds degrees from Georgetown University, UC Irvine, and the London School of Economics. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), NAIOP, and the Central City Association of Los Angeles.
