Mission & Values

What we Believe

Misson

ECHO’s mission is to empower low-income individuals and families by facilitating access to affordable housing. This is achieved through partnerships with housing developers, landlord and tenant rights education, conflict intervention services, property management, and essential tenant support.

Hardworking individuals and families often find themselves caught in the middle—earning too much to qualify for rental assistance but not enough to afford market-rate housing. As a result, they are left without viable housing options. ECHO is changing that by creating opportunities for working professionals and families to live in desirable locations throughout Los Angeles.

Too often, property owners prioritize applicants with vouchers over hardworking individuals simply looking for a place to call home. At ECHO, we’re shifting the narrative by partnering with property owners who share our commitment to housing equity—ensuring that working professionals and families have access to quality homes in great neighborhoods.

Mission
A Bold Vision for Housing Accessibility

Expanding Housing Opportunities, Strengthening Communities

ECHO envisions a future where hardworking individuals and families in Los Angeles have access to quality housing in desirable locations. By 2027, we will establish partnerships with 50 properties and provide 2,000 units, ensuring that those who earn too much for rental assistance but not enough for market-rate housing are no longer left without options. Our approach goes beyond housing—we are creating communities. We actively engage with local businesses to connect employees with nearby housing, making it easier for people to live where they work. We also collaborate with developers to design modern, multi-family properties that are pet-friendly, eco-conscious, and built to support the evolving needs of today’s renters. ECHO is not just providing homes; we are reshaping the housing landscape to make high-quality living more accessible. By fostering partnerships and prioritizing inclusivity, we are committed to ensuring that working individuals and families can build stable, fulfilling lives in thriving neighborhoods.
2025-2026

Our Goals

At ECHO, we believe that progress requires action. Our goals for 2025-2026 are designed to create real, measurable impact—expanding housing access, connecting more individuals to stable homes, and providing essential support for both tenants and property owners. By setting clear objectives, we ensure that our mission remains focused, our partnerships remain strong, and our communities continue to thrive. These goals aren’t just numbers—they represent lives changed, opportunities created, and a future where housing is within reach for more hardworking individuals and families.

Secure 500 Units

Scaling Our Impact Through Partnerships

ECHO is dedicated to expanding housing access for working individuals and families. By 2026, we will secure 500 units through strong partnerships with property owners who align with our mission. These units will offer stable, high-quality housing in desirable areas, helping more people live near where they work.

600 Individuals Reached

Bringing Housing Within Reach

Finding affordable housing shouldn’t be a challenge for hardworking individuals and families. ECHO will connect 600 people to available units through targeted outreach, working closely with local businesses and communities. By raising awareness and simplifying the process, we will ensure more people can secure housing that fits their needs.

2 Active Support Programs

Investing in Stability for Tenants and Partners

Housing is only the beginning. To ensure long-term success, ECHO will launch two key programs that provide direct support for property owners and tenants. These initiatives will offer vital resources, expert guidance, and hands-on assistance—helping to strengthen partnerships and build thriving communities.
