Sarah Medina
Sarah Medina is a seasoned housing professional with more than a decade of experience in landlord engagement, housing placement, and conflict resolution. Over the course of her career, she has successfully enrolled more than 6,000 units into affordable housing programs across Los Angeles County, helping to expand access to safe and stable housing for thousands of residents.
Most recently, Sarah serves as Director of Housing Programs at HOM, Inc., where she leads large-scale initiatives that bring property owners and community partners together to address housing needs. Previously, she served as Deputy Director of Housing Placement for the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, where she played a key role in the city’s efforts to accelerate placements and strengthen landlord participation in housing solutions.
Sarah also spent nearly seven years at PATH, where she advanced from Housing Specialist to Associate Director of LeaseUp LA, overseeing landlord engagement teams and leading conflict resolution strategies between tenants and property managers. Earlier in her career, she worked with the Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board, mediating unlawful detainer cases and educating both tenants and landlords on fair housing rights and responsibilities.
Grounded in her belief that housing stability begins with well-equipped property owners, Sarah specializes in counseling and training landlords, equipping them with practical tools to prevent evictions, resolve disputes, and foster thriving communities. Her background in paralegal studies and extensive experience in mediation, community relations, and housing program leadership make her a trusted resource in the affordable housing sector.
